Hazelnut support

A real person reads every email.

Hazelnut is made by one developer. Questions, bugs, feature requests, or anything about a purchase — write to support@hazelnutapp.com. It helps to include your app version (Settings → About) and your iPhone model.

Hazelnut is developed by Robert Truese, United States.

Common questions

I bought Hazelnut Full but it's locked again

Open any locked feature to reach the Hazelnut Full screen and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. Once it's restored, the unlock is remembered on the phone and works with no signal.

Does my partner need to buy it too?

No. Family Sharing is on, so one purchase covers everyone in your Apple family. On the other phone, tap Restore Purchases if it hasn't unlocked on its own.

Our two phones stopped syncing

First, make sure both phones are on the latest version of Hazelnut — some updates need both phones updated before they'll sync again, and until then it looks just like the other phone being out of range. Then open Settings → Partner Sync on both phones with them near each other. If Partner Sync asks you to pair again, do that; Bluetooth syncing keeps working in the meantime. Starting a sync needs Hazelnut Full on at least one of the two phones.

I'm getting a new phone

Take a backup from Settings → Backups, move it to the new phone (AirDrop, Files, or iCloud Drive), and import it there. If you have a paired partner, their phone also holds a full copy and will sync it back once the new phone is paired.

I saw an error with a code like HZ-DB-14

Tap Email Support on the alert — it drafts a message with the code, your app version, and your iPhone model already filled in, and you see all of it before anything is sent. If there's no button, email us with the code and a line about what you were doing.

How do I delete my data?

Everything lives on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it — along with any automatic backups, which are stored in the app's own folder. Backups you've copied elsewhere, and a paired partner's phone, keep their own copies.

More answers are in the FAQ, and the privacy policy covers what the app does with your data (nothing leaves your phones).
