Why it exists
Your baby’s data is nobody’s business.
Every feed, nap, diaper, and photo is stored in a plain database on your phone — inspectable, exportable, and yours. There’s no server to breach, no sync service to trust, and no privacy policy loophole to read twice. The app can’t phone home, because there is no home to phone.

Pair two phones once and Hazelnut syncs peer-to-peer — they talk directly to each other over local wireless whenever they’re near, no cloud account, no middleman. Both parents see the same feeds, naps, and medicines. And if Hazelnut’s developer disappeared tomorrow, sync would keep working, because there’s nothing to shut down.

When can I get it?
Hazelnut is in active development and coming to the App Store. This page will carry the download link the day it's out.
Where does my baby's data live?
In a single database file on your phone — never on a server. You can export the whole thing from Settings whenever you like.
Can both parents use it?
Yes. Pair two phones from Settings and they sync directly to each other over local wireless whenever they're near — both of you see the same feeds, naps, and medicines. No account required on either phone.
What if I lose my phone?
Settings → Export Backup produces a JSON snapshot of everything — save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop it to your computer. Importing it on a new phone restores everything in one atomic step. And if you've paired with a partner's phone, their copy is a live backup too.
Does it ever connect to the internet?
No. There's no server to talk to, so the app never touches the internet. Partner sync happens directly between your two phones over local wireless — nothing is uploaded, and nothing passes through a middleman.
How much will it cost?
Pricing isn't final yet — it will be announced here before release.
Will there be an Android or web version?
iOS first — that's where Hazelnut lives today. An Android version is a long-term goal, but there's no date to promise yet. A web version, never: web apps need servers, and no servers is the whole point.
